Moodlerooms

Moodlerooms by Blackboard

We’ve taken the world’s most popular LMS – Moodle – and developed it so you can create a better Moodle experience.

First, we host Moodle in the cloud. This provides the most reliable and scalable platform for you to build your teaching and learning on – and removes all the worries about hardware, bandwidth, backups, upgrades or other IT headaches.

Secondly, we’ve taken Moodle to the next level. We’ve developed powerful enhancements in areas like personalised learning, advanced reports and grading, along with improved course design, user-interfaces and branding potential to help you increase recruitment, improve engagement and retention – and secure better outcomes.

Simply put: our platform ensures powerful, engaging and user-friendly Moodle experiences for learners, educators and admin – whether you’re a corporate, education, government or non-profit organisation.

Our dedicated Moodle experts will help get you up and running as quickly as possible – and will be with you every step of the way.

  • We offer 24-hour support.
  • Our platform is accessible from anywhere in the world 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – with a 99.9% access guarantee.
  • We continually update and enhance Moodlerooms with the latest technological innovations – while you sleep.
  • We are an official Moodle partner.

Moodlerooms is a must for VET institutions, RTO’s, K12 schools and any other provider that wants to develop their e-learning provision.

The Moodlerooms Team will host several presentations designed to share how best practice learning can be implemented using a variety of tools, including;

Implementing an Effective Learning Ecosystem for the VET Sector

Grant Beevers, Senior Manager, Solutions Engineering, Blackboard APAC

In this session I will focus on the tools and technologies to enable RTOs, TAFEs and other VET providers in the delivery of engaging content, and the collection of evidence using innovative methods such as 3rd party content, video, audio, and synchronous and asynchronous tools such as virtual classroom and advanced discussion forum capabilities. We will explore examples of good practice in the design of blended and online units of competency which focus on lifting engagement with students who are both present in the classroom, online and in the workplace. The session will explore effective methods of using synchronous technologies to both engage and assess users.

Integrating Research into Practice with X-Ray Learning Analytics for Moodle

Foong Yee Leong, Global Executive, Open Solutions for Moodle, Blackboard

A substantial body of research has found meaningful relationships between the “data exhaust” created from student interactions with the LMS and course-level achievement.  In this presentation, we’ll review highlights from this research and present an application providing Learning Analytics provides insights into potential at-risk students, deep measures of participation in courses, and insights into the quality of participation.  In the spirit of openness and community, we will share the algorithms used, the architectural structure underlying the application, and lessons learned in practice.  This presentation is relevant to institutions considering building or procuring a Learning Analytics solution.
